R&D tax incentive and funding
I take care of your RDTI applications — no guesswork, stronger claims and far less hassle.
You get
- Clear eligibility decisions so you stop guessing whether your project qualifies
- Assessor-ready technical narratives that cut down RFIs from Inland Revenue or MBIE
- Full application preparation and RFI management on your behalf — I prepare, submit, and handle your application so you keep building
- Practical workshops that make the entire process straightforward for your team
- Defensible RDTI claims with fewer revisions and faster resolutions
How it works
Here is a typical full service process. We only move forward when both of us see real substance.
A client-protecting NDA and a short call to understand your situation. Book a timeslot that suits you.
Brief proposed strategy based on the initial call with a focus on the NZ RDTI opportunities and approach. It may include notes on other R&D funding options and recommended next steps.
2–4 hour workshop that is specific to your projects and covers relevant RDTI rules, scientific/technological core and supporting activities and overall expenditure.
I prepare and file your General Approval application in myIR for you.
I handle any IRD/MBIE questions and hand everything over to your accountant.
About Gregor Neumayr
I assessed over 1,000 RDTI applications worth hundreds of millions as an R&D Specialist at Callaghan Innovation and co-authored the official digital technology sector guidelines. As part of the small expert team that assessed more than $7 billion in R&D for the scheme, I saw exactly what assessors look for — and why even strong projects still get RFIs.
Before that I spent almost two decades as a practising R&D scientist and engineer — planning and running projects in AI systems, patented medical-device algorithms, cancer diagnostics, genomics, and industrial innovation. That combination lets me quickly spot genuine scientific and technological uncertainty and build claims that work.
Neumayr Ltd works with New Zealand companies across a wide range of innovation sectors on R&D tax credits and other government funding programmes. Based in New Zealand, I reply to messages the same day and am happy to jump on a quick call about your project whenever I’m free during business hours.
